Mike Moore, a North Carolina native, had just turned 13 when he started working at WSAT in Salisbury in 1960. After graduating from Wingate College and majoring in Radio-Television-Motion Pictures at UNC-Chapel Hill, he moved to Rockingham County in 1972 as News Director of WLOE, later was Vice President of WCBX, both in Eden, and became General/Sales manager of WMYN in Mayodan in 1984. WLOE and WMYN merged in 1990, becoming the area's only full service full time stations. Mike Moore, "The Voice of Rockingham County," is a trusted newsman, community leader and popular MC at regional festivals, fundraisers and special events. His popular news/talk shows make a positive difference for listeners and advertisers.
